This is an assignment from my Graphic Design class. We were to take the original fightglobalwarming.com ads (which was just those two check boxes with the text on a yellow background) and come up with creative ways of showing global warming. This is one of them I came up with.
I wish it made more sense. I suppose it's like: The guy is laying around doing nothing and just taking a smoke break (which is also a cause of global warming, albeit a lesser cause) while pollution is being dumped into the atmosphere with the smoke stacks and factories in the background. I take that back, it makes little to no sense. HAHA.
EDIT:
Ok, I've come up with a concept that makes a little more sense with the poster. We are all our own little industrial factories and it's time to stop sticking our heads in the sand and do something.
nice art direction. But may be instead of "stick your head in the sand", you can write instead "become part of the problem??"
Because sticking your head in the sand isn't related to the visual communication in the poster. He's creating the smoke, so obviously he's contributing to the global warming. But the copy is the problem, not the over all idea.
amazing convert for the idea .
I also thought like (pansit) say , the phrase doesn't related to photo behind it . I like also the tone of color , It's warm
Fantastic idea! Very nicely done... it's simple and that's the major advantage of it. Those simple ideas make people think about the real problem more seriously.
Unfortunately that was something we were not allowed to change from the original ads. We had to use "Stick your head in the sand," "do nothing," and "cross fingers." I thought "stick your head in the sand" and smoking made the most sense because... they both have to do with... your head...
Hahaha, I dunno, but your right. I wish I could change the copy.
